Chapter 1: Bhaktiyar’s Fight with Hair Loss
As pretty as it seems, an actor’s life is not easy. They have to go through rigorous shoot schedules where they have to shoot in scorching heat, and there is no fixed time for shooting. During the initial days when an actor is young, his body can take the physical toll this profession has on anyone’s body.
But as an actor reaches his mid-thirties, he starts noticing the effects of the rigorous shooting schedules on their body. Hair loss is the most common problem TV and Bollywood celebrities face today.

Bakhtiyar quotes, “When I was in the makeup room and getting ready for the shoot, my makeup artist said that she had to use Toppik (a brand of hair-building fibers designed to give the appearance of thicker, fuller hair instantly) as the receding hair line would look extremely bad on the screen.”
That is when Bakhtiyar realized that he had to choose a natural, healthier way to restore his falling hair.
As a celebrity, your physical appearance is constantly under scrutiny. You have to look good every time, or else you will be the target of online trolls, and people will not like to see you on the screen. It is a harsh reality of celebrity life.
The constant stress of hiding his hair loss was impacting both his personal and professional life, and hence, the journey to find a more permanent solution for his hair loss began.
Chapter 2: The Search for a Solution
Bakhtiyar Irani was very concerned because the hair in the front part of his head was becoming extremely scanty, as you can see in the picture below:
But he knew he had to search for a solution before he went bald, and he had no shame in it. Usually, people start hiding their problems, but he faces them openly and with much-needed courage. After trying numerous alternative solutions with no results, he finally decided to get a hair transplant.
The next step was to find the best hair transplant surgeon to understand his condition and give him the best and most natural results. His search for the best doctor ended when he met Dr. Gaurav Garg from Dermalife Hair and Skin Clinic in Green Park, South Delhi.
In the next chapter, we will see what Dr. Garg suggested and which technique he used for the top hair transplant in Delhi.
Chapter 3: The Initial Consultation of Bhakhtityar Irani with Dr. Gaurav Garg
The first consultation with the doctor is crucial in anyone’s hair loss journey. It is when you know what type of hair loss you are dealing with, the reason behind your hair loss, the number of grafts you will need, and the best technique that will give you the most natural results.

- When Bhaktiyar Irani first met Dr. Gaurav Garg, he was impressed by his humbleness and the homely feel he gave his patients. He was taken aback by his humbleness, even though he was the most certified hair transplant surgeon in Delhi.
- On his first meeting with Dr. Garg, Bakhtiyar came to know that he was suffering from male pattern baldness and the condition was treatable.
- At his initial consultation, he learned that he was suffering from Grade 2 baldness. Grade 2 baldness on the Norwood scale is the early stage of hair loss when one’s hairline recedes around the temples and makes an M, V, or U shape. This is visible hair thinning in the front and crown areas.
- Next, Dr. Garg and Bakhtiyar discussed the number of grafts he would need to regain his natural hairline. They agreed on 3000 ultra-high-density hair grafts.
- Dr. Garg also examined Bahkhtiyar’s donor area to determine where he would take the 3000 grafts from.
- Next, Dr. Garg explained the most popular Boosted FUE hair transplant technique with BioGen therapy, a cutting-edge development in the field of hair transplant that promises the most natural and long-lasting results.
Note: “Boosted FUE with Bio Gen Therapy is a hair transplant technique that Dr. Guarav Garg invented.”
Chapter 4: Understanding Boosted FUE Hair Transplant with Bio Gen Therapy
Today, Boosted FUE is one of Delhi’s most advanced hair transplant methods. It is convenient and gives more natural results than conventional hair transplant techniques.
Invented by Dr Gaurav Garg from Dermalife Hair and Skin Clinic, it is one of the most advanced hair transplant techniques in India and worldwide.
A more direct hair transplantation method involves implanting grafts over the recipient side when harvested from the donor site. The time between the extraction and implantation does not exceed an hour; hence, the chances of losing hair grafts are minimal.
Another prominent feature of Boosted FUE is incorporating the No Root Touch technique for implantation. During this method, the roots of the grafts are not touched, which enhances their survival rates and, hence, results in better results after the hair transplant.
Further, to stimulate hair growth, Dr. Gaurav Garg combines the procedure with PRP (platelet-rich plasma therapy) so that the roots of the transplanted hair can attach to the skin faster than usual. Together, these actions ensure that boosted FUE delivers more grafts to the recipient site during the hair transplant procedure and helps the patient achieve the best results.

In traditional hair transplant techniques in Delhi, the time between extracting hair follicles and transplanting them was very long. Due to this, the chances of graft decay were 20 to 30 %. At Dermalife, we perform the Boosted FUE hair transplant using the best and latest instruments to maximize graft survival.
What are the advantages of a Boosted FUE Hair Transplant?
Minimally Invasive: Boosted FUE is less invasive, minimizing aches and soreness before and after the procedure.
Natural-Looking Results: Advanced technology guarantees the precise placement of hair follicles, leading to a fantastic natural appearance and improved hair density.
No Linear Scars: Unlike conventional strategies that leave substantial linear scars, boosted FUE effects in minimum scarring, making it ideal for people who prefer shorter hairstyles.
Faster Recovery: The minimally invasive nature allows quicker healing and return to everyday activities.
Higher Graft Survival Rate: Enhanced strategies enhance the survival rate of transplanted hair follicles, ensuring healthier and longer-lasting hair growth.
Versatility: Boosted FUE can be used to repair hair in various regions, including the scalp, beard, and eyebrows.
Chapter 5: Before the Surgery and During the Surgery
The pre-transplant preparations began once Dr. Gaurav Garg convinced him that Boosted FUE was the best hair transplant technique for Bakhtiyar Irani. Mr. Irani was informed:
- Stop using any herbal supplements and notify the doctor if he takes any other kind of medication.
- Smoking and alcohol were strictly prohibited.
- He was given special instructions to care for his scalp before the surgery.
- Dr. Garg also advised him to be mentally prepared for the surgery, as the surgery may take a long time, and one has to have realistic expectations after the surgery.
Hairline Designing
Hairline planning is the most essential part of a hair transplant. Dr. Gaurav Garg says, “Planning a hair transplant is the most complicated part of the hair transplant procedure.” The next step was to design a hairline for Bakhtiyar Irani. The following things were kept in mind while designing his hairline:
Don’t Wait!

- The hairline depends on facial structure; hence, each patient’s hairline is unique. Thus, Mr. Irani’s hairline was designed based on his facial structure.
- The age of a patient plays a vital role in creating a hairline. The Hairline of a 30-year-old patient is a bit different compared to that of a 50-year-old, as that patient would need a more mature hairline.
- The Hairline should only be created in a zig-zag pattern.
- The front part of the hairline should have single or double hair follicles to give a natural effect; otherwise, using triple hair follicle crafts would look highly unnatural.
- The hairline should seamlessly blend with the surrounding hair.
Realizing the importance of the hairline, Dr. Garg created a perfect hairline for Mr. Irani.
The Day of the Surgery
Preparation: Bahakhtiyar was prepared for the surgery. He had some relevant blood tests, and his donor and recipient areas were identified.
Head Shaving: Head shaping is integral to FUE hair transplants in Delhi. The donor area must be shaved for better follicle extraction.
Marking: Dr. Garg then carefully marked the donor area (an area from where hair follicles will be extracted) and the recipient area (an area where hair follicles will be transplanted). This step ensures that hair follicles are precisely implanted, with a perfect hairline and density distribution.
Cleaning with Betadine: The marked areas are cleaned with Betadine to reduce the risk of infection.
Local Anesthesia: After cleaning and marking, local anesthesia is injected into the donor and recipient areas to reduce pain during the transplant.
Slits Making: Dr. Garg then made tiny incisions in the recipient area using fine needles. It is done to determine the direction and angle of transplanted hair.
Punching: A micromotor device makes Small punches in the donor area.
Extraction: After punching, follicles or hair grafts are carefully extracted using fine forceps.
Implantation of Grafts: Grafts are then placed into the incisions with the natural direction and angle of hair in mind.
After the procedure, bandaging and medications were given to Mr. Irani to prevent any future infections.
Bio Gen Therapy was an integral part of Bakhtiyar’s recovery process. This therapy involved Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) derived from Bakhtiyar’s blood. The PRP, rich in growth factors, was injected into the scalp to accelerate healing and stimulate the growth of the transplanted hair follicles. Additionally, micro-needling was performed to enhance the absorption of the growth factors, ensuring optimal results.
This is how a complete hair transplant took place at Dermalife Hair and Skin Clinic under the guidance of Dr. Gaurav Garg.
Chapter 6: The Road to Recovery
Bahkhtiyar, under the supervision of Dr. Garg, for the first few days after the hair transplant. He was instructed to take care of his newly transplanted hair and to visit Dr. Garg anytime if he had any concerns. Total healing will take 1 to 2 weeks, and as far as long-term recovery is concerned, the transplanted hair will initially shed for 2 to 3 weeks, followed by the growth of new hair in 3 to 4 months.
It took nine months for Bhaktiyar to see the results of his hair transplant in Delhi.
